Kilkenny School Project, Kilkenny.

This development comprises the successful integration of five new classrooms, GP Hall and ancillary accommodation in an extension to an existing school. The existing building was sensitively converted for staffroom, resource room, GP Hall and Library and associated uses. The School is universally accessible ; level entry, accessible rooms and toilet areas. The Kilkenny School Project is one of the earlier Educate-Together Schools developed with an ethos of child-centred education. Bluett & O'Donoghue Architects were very pleased to work with the Kilkenny School Project in developing a substantial extension to the School which includes a number of innovative educational features, a secluded sunny courtyard and four individual and unique resource rooms.
