Choristers Hall (The Undercroft), Waterford.

Situated between Cathedral Square and Bishops Palace, Waterford's latest museum is a tribute to medieval Waterford in the City. The Undercroft was constructed in 1281 by Stephen Fulborne, Bishop of Waterford. It comprises a single barrell vaulted chamber with a central arcade of six arches springing from five stone columns and two pilasters on the north and south walls. The only significant intervention to the fabric of the Undercroft was the lowering of the threshold of the opening in the east wall to allow for universal access from the new Museum building. It was opened to the public on Friday, 24th. August 2012.
